Dodgeball Recruitment Event

Theta Xi held its second recruitment event of the spring semester this past Saturday. Almost 20 new recruits attended the event which was kicked off by playing some dodgeball at Susan B. Anthony Middle School.

After the dodgeball, the guys headed back to the house to watch K-State's Elite Eight matchup with Butler. Even though the game didn't turn out in the Cats favor, another successful recruitment event was wrapped up with a dinner and some poker.

Remember, recruitment is the lifeblood of this organization. If you have any high school seniors that you feel would be a great addition to our organization, please contact our recruitment chairmen, Daniel Mulder (913.907.5845) and Adam Huff (913.636.3502) and let us know about them. Thanks!

Scholarship DInner

The annual Scholarship dinner was held Wednesday, March 24 at the chapter house. Each year we honor the academic achievements of the chapter as a whole, as well as the achievements of individual members.

This year, Theta Xi finished fourth on campus among all fraternities in GPA, accumulating a 3.2 average amongst the members. Theta Xi also finished well above the all-male university average, bettering that mark by more than .2.

Five chapter members were also honored for achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA on the semester. These members each received a trophy and a $50 reward for their success.

The chapter was also honored to have Dr. Phil Barenau from Theta Xi Nationals as a guest speaker at the event. He talked about the importance of hard work, and preparing yourself for the future.

Recruitment Season

With the spring semester almost halfway over, we here at Theta Xi have turned our attention to recruiting the next wave of new members into the fold. Our first recruitment event was a huge success, bringing 25 potential new members into town last weekend! As we all know, recruitment is the lifeblood of our organization, and alumni referrals are a huge part of that process. We are asking all of you alumni out there to tell us about the best and brightest potential members in your community. If you have any high school seniors that you feel would be a great addition to our organization, please contact our recruitment chairmen, Daniel Mulder (913.907.5845) and Adam Huff (913.636.3502) and let us know about them. Thanks!

Welcome!

This blog has been set up as a way to provide a connection between the many alumni of the KSU chapter of Theta Xi and its current active members. We hope that this blog will become a great resource for alumni to stay connected to the house, and learn ways that they can help actives now, and in the future. Check back often for fraternity news, updates and alumni relations.
